Carrefour area is a community of Haiti, located in the department of the West and in the district of Port-au-Prince.
Inhabited by 465 019 inhabitants1 (census estimate in 2009), and called Carrefourois Carrefouroise, Carrefour is part of the conurbation formed around the capital Port-au-Prince.
Important maritime city, it has only one university.
